The are several symbols used by members of the Folks Nation to denote their gang affiliation.  Tattoos worn by Folk Nation gang members frequently include a winged heart, devil's horns, a devil's tail, dice, the number 6, backwards swastikas, a bunny head with bent ears, a sword, a pitchfork, and a six-point star (Star of David).  The points of the six-point star stand for love, loyalty, knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.  The winged heart represents love for the gang.  The pitchfork represents strength carried by the devil as in conquering society’s persecution.  The devil's horns represent courage, while the devil's tail represents strength.

In addition to these symbols, the Folks Nation wear various sports gear and brands to represent their gang affiliation.  Being a fan of the team is irrelevant.  A sport team is chosen because it fits the gang's identity needs and has meaning through either in name or the logo.  Acronyms are created from a sport team’s names, and meaning is derived from the logo.  For example, the Folks Nation wears Oakland Raiders gear, because the word "raiders" is the acronym for "ruthless ass Insane Disciples ever ruled the streets."
